About Us:
Sycamore Credit Limited is a dynamic and innovative microfinance organization dedicated to empowering communities through financial inclusion by providing different loan products. The Company was incorporated in April 2018 with the Registrar of Companies and was licensed to operate as a microfinance company in August 2018 by the Reserve Bank of Malawi.
Role Overview:
We seek a visionary and results-oriented Chief Operations Officer (COO) to oversee and enhance our operational processes, drive strategic growth, and ensure the seamless delivery of our financial products and services. As a key executive team member, the COO will play a vital role in shaping the future of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and manage teams across various departments, including credit, risk management, and branch operations.
- Design and implement policies and procedures to improve productivity and mitigate risks.
- Drive innovation in financial products and services to meet client needs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure targets are achieved.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven track record in a senior leadership role (minimum of 5 years), preferably in the microfinance or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of microfinance operations, including credit, risk management, and customer engagement.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the microfinance sector.
