CAREER OPPORTUNITY – CASHIER

HAIL & COTTON (Malawi) LIMITED, a fully owned subsidiary of HAIL & COTTON International B.V. based in Netherlands, a company that supplies premium leaf tobacco and value-added services to manufacturers of tobacco products worldwide, is urgently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the post of Cashier.

Job Summary

The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing financial transactions, handling cash and other forms of payment, and maintaining a high level of customer service. This role ensures efficient and secure management of cash handling processes, supporting the Finance Officer in maintaining financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process payments, including cash, cheques, and electronic payments Accurately operate the cash register, manage cash float, and reconcile daily transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including receipts, invoices, and bank deposits.
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Finance Officer

Qualification, Experience and Attributes

• 1-2 years of experience in cash handling, accounting, or finance
• Proficient in financial software, Microsoft Office, and cash handling systems
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude, enhancing the customer experience and creating a welcoming environment
