Business Support Manager

Location: Position will be based in Blantyre, Malawi.

As the Business Support Manager, reporting to the Group Head of Retail and Products, you will support the delivery of key retail and product initiatives, track performance, conduct research and analysis on trends and technologies, develop business cases and proposals for strategic investments, and coordinate cross-functional team engagements within FMBcH plc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation and management of strategic initiatives related to retail and product development.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategies.
  • Perform research to identify market trends and emerging technologies, providing insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare business cases and investment proposals outlining potential benefits, risks, and returns.
  • Facilitate collaboration among departments to ensure effective communication and integration of efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. PMG Six Sigma) is preferred
  • 2-3 years in business support, project management or a related role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau); familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Ability to analyze data and performance metrics effectively.
  • Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in preparing reports and presentations.
