The Malawi Assemblies of God University (MAGU), an affiliate of the Malawi Assemblies of God was established to provide a high-level system of education driven by strong Christian values and standards. The University is registered, recognized and accredited by Malawi Government through National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). MAGU is urgently seeking to fill the following vacant positions:

ASSISTANT UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR – ADMINISTRATION

The Assistant Registrar reports to the University Registrar and is responsible for provision of leadership and strategic direction in the management of administrative services.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, or a related discipline
  • Three years’ relevant experience in a similar position

Specific Requirements:

  • Oversee and manage contracts for outsourced services such as security, and catering
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and monitor service providers’ performance
  • Work with the procurement department to ensure proper tendering processes and adherence to university procurement policies.
  • Address complaints or issues related to outsourced services promptly and implement corrective actions where necessary and provide regular feedback to contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of committee meetings and decisions
  • Implement university policies and procedures across various administrative departments.
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of administrative staff, ensuring efficient operation and Productivity
  • Coordinate the organization of university events such as graduations, seminars, and conferences, managing logistics and protocol.
  • Oversee records management, ensuring all official university documentation is properly maintained and archived.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments, external agencies, and university leadership to facilitate smooth communication.
  • Familiarity with university governance and operational systems
  • Knowledge of transport, fleet management, and outsourced services.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time
