Job description
1. PROGRAM ASSISTANT OFFICER (FULL TIME)
The Program Assistant will help in the implementation programmes and will report to
the Programmes Coordinator. The successful candidate will, among other duties, be
responsible for:
i. Planning and Business Development
· Assisting in the implementation of REIAMA day to day activities.
· Assist in the implementation of REIAMA programmatic activities.
· Prepare work plans and budgets for different activities.
· Assist in the development of strategic activities.
· Develop and implement resource mobilization initiatives for
REIAMA’s growth and sustainability.
ii. Membership Service and Communication
· Assist in member recruitment and retention drive.
· Engage members in different REIAMA activities.
· Assist in enhancing REIAMA visibility and reputation through
effective communication, media relations, and public speaking
engagements.
iii. Partnership and Development
· Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationship with
members.
· Assist in facilitating a strong relationship with government and
development partners.
iv. Monitoring
· Assist in developing monitoring tools for REIAMA projects.
· Conduct monitoring activities for REIAMA projects.
· Monitor industry trends, policy developments, and regulatory
changes to make recommendations to the Programmes
Coordinator and inform strategic program planning.
v. Reporting
· Prepare and present periodic reports.
· Ensure that formal chains of command are in place and
followed.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
· University degree in Renewable Energy, Development Studies,
Community Development, Business Administration or any other
related field.
· Proven work experience in a similar role.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (primarily Excel,
PowerPoint, and Word).
· Highly organised and able to multitask.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
