Ujamaa Pamodzi Africa is a sexual and gender-based violence prevention organization. Our mission is to promote health, personal safety and empowerment for vulnerable women and children. We envision an empowered society free from violence against women and children. Ujamaa implements various activities in more than 10 districts so far.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Admin Assistant Intern. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our administrative functions and assist in the coordination of various projects and activities. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector and contribute to meaningful change in the community.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a creative and motivated individual with a passion for using their skills to empower others. We expect you to be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support to the team, including filing, photocopying and data entry.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of meetings, workshops and events.
- Manage and maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
- Support the implementation of administrative systems and procedures.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of organizational records.
- Assist with grant writing, reporting, and other documentation tasks as needed.
- Support the coordination of volunteer and community outreach activities.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for social change and a desire to contribute to Ujamaa Pamodzi Africa’s mission.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Business Administration, Social Sciences or a related field is an added advantage.
