A Reputed Construction Company is looking for a Qualified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience
Designation: ACCOUNTING MANAGER.
Job Overview
The position requires the Accounting Manager to coordinate and manage the various pillars of the accounting department. The role requires the incumbent to play a proactive role in understanding and improving the accounting processes in play in the entity.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Account for revenue invoices for construction Projects and other revenue centres
- Adjust the contract advances and account to revenue as per valuation certificates.
- Reconcile the with-holding tax recovered on various revenue centres with certificates and GL
- Process Supplier Ageing reports and coordinate with the FC for processing payments.
- Ensure Payroll Journals are posted to the GL
- Reconcile Midmonth and loan balances with payroll
- Reconcile Salary/Wages Clearance account on monthly basis
- Prepare Bank reconciliation statements
- Finalize PAYE, WHT, NRT and VAT on Msonkho Online and Coordinate with MRA on queries
- Prepare Schedules for finalizing Monthly Financial statements
- Coordinate with the Audit team for the year end process
- Finalize deferred Tax calculation and tax return.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Group Financial Controller.
Qualifications
Qualified ACCA professional / Malawi Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience in the age group of 40 to 45 years. The Accounting Manager should have the willingness and eagerness to prove one self and capable to work and deliver under pressure.
The position is based out of Blantyre, but the management will decide to position the candidate at other locations in Malawi if it is prudent to do so.
