Malawi Electoral Commission

The Malawi Electoral Commission, “the Commission”, is a body corporate created under Section 75(1) of the Constitution, to supervise, direct and preside over the conduct of all elections in Malawi.

In accordance with Section 13 of the Malawi Electoral Commission Act, the Commission seeks to appoint suitably qualified persons with relevant experience to fill the following vacant position within its secretariat:

Responsible to: Senior Transport & Logistics Officer
Location: MEC Head Office, Lilongwe

Qualification

Minimum of a Diploma in Transport and Logistics

Age

21 – 45 years

Purpose

To assist in the coordination, management and proper maintenance of MEC fleet.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the implementation of transport policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in the coordination and scheduling of service and maintenance of motor vehicles.
  • Assisting in the filing and updating of transport records.
  • Maintaining and updating records in logbooks.
  • Inspecting vehicles and ensures that they are clean.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of primary records of fuel requisition, issues, and liquidations.
  • Keeping track of records and due dates for servicing motor vehicles.
  • Keeping track of due dates for renewal of insurances and other licences.
  • Assisting in the allocation of drivers for various activities.
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time.
