DIGITAL BANKING OFFICER

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Digital Banking Manager, the incumbent is responsible for delivering coding and configurations in alignment with the Bank’s technical standards and industry best practices. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring innovative design and unit testing of the Bank’s various digital offerings. Also ensures all software-related issues are resolved within agreed-upon time frames and makes recommendations on modifications and enhancements in an effort to drive digital innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the rollout of digital transformation in line with the bank’s digitization strategy and map the digital strategy to the bank’s strategy.
  • Coordinate the development of new and improved service delivery channels to ensure the bank remains competitive in digital service delivery.
  • Design extensible, secure, scalable, and maintainable enterprise-level applications.
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient, and secure code by using best software development practices.
  • Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain the bank’s applications.
  • Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications.
  • Responsible for delivering the digitizing bank’s services.
  • Responsible for portfolio design, planning, testing, and deployment of new or enhanced products and processes for digital banking.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or any other relevant field from a reputable and accredited university.
  • Five (5) years of experience in software development, three (3) of which should at least have been at officer level.
  • Proven experience and notable achievements in information technology, with hands-on software development and data management experience.
  • Application Development and Programming
  • Frontend development using JavaScript (VueJS, React), HTML, CSS (Tailwind CSS), and others
  • Backend development using PHP (Laravel MVC), NodeJS, and others
  • Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, and MS SQL databases
  • Should be versed in Linux as well as Windows-based servers.
  • Should have knowledge of version control on platforms such as Git
  • Data management and analysis skills
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong customer service orientation
  • Experience in delivering digital services
