Chibuku Products Limited, the manufacturer and distributor of Chibuku ShakeShake and Chibuku Super opaque beer, and other non-alcoholic beverages such as Super Maheu, invites applications from passionate and self-motivated individual to fill the following vacant positions:

BOILER OPERATOR

This position is tenable at our Lilongwe, Blantyre, Mzuzu and Mangochi Breweries. The successful candidates will be reporting to the National Boiler Supervisor and will be expected to ensure that the boiler functions efficiently and safely to maintain continuous production. They will also be responsible for maintaining the boiler and making any necessary repairs.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Ensure appropriate fuel delivery to maintain boiler operations.
• Monitor meters and gauges to update the boiler logbook on metrices such as fuel, chemical, an d water levels, adjusting them as and when necessary.
• Conduct maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of the boiler and its surroundings.
• Record and calculate water and coal usage.
• Maintain steam pressure and check feed tank levels.
• Transfer coal from the coal banks to the boiler and operate the boiler.
• Report any faults observed on the boiler to the Boiler/Maintenance Supervisor.
• Manage inventory to ensure adequate stocks of coal, diesel, and boiler chemicals are available.
• Adhere to safety procedures at all times including wearing uniform and other protective clothing while on duty.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Must have a minimum of MSCE certificate.
• A certificate in boiler operations and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar position working on John Thomson Boilers will be an added advantage.
• No criminal record
