FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

Dwasco Sacco Limited is a Credit Cooperative duly registered and regulated by The Reserve Bank of Malawi.

As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking dynamic individual to fill the Finance and Administration Manager post at its Offices in Dwangwa on a renewable contract of 3 years.

Job Purpose

The overall objective of this job is to manage all the financial, human resources, and administrative functions of the SACCO. The job holder manages and supports financial reporting to provide management with timely and relevant financial information to make informed decisions. The Finance Manager ensures that sound SACCO policies and practices are adopted and implemented. He or She develops budgets and revenue forecasts and supports the development of strategic plans as they impact operation functions.

He or She is accountable for ensuring operational functions comply with SACCO’s policies and procedures and internal reporting and governance bodies.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Budget preparation, implementation, and control through variance reports
  • Timely preparation of financial and management reports.
  • Manage SACCO audits and ensure that audit findings and recommendations are addressed and implemented
  • Ensure compliance with SACCO policies and procedures and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient stewardship of SACCO’s assets and financial resources
  • Manage timely and accurate recording of accounting transactions Manage other financial issues that arise, including risk management.
  • Ensure internal controls are fully implemented.
  • Doing bank reconciliations
  • Perform any duties assigned by the Management from time to time

Qualification, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting or related field
  • Professional qualification: CA (Mw)/CPA/ACCA/CIMA3 years’ experience in Finance and Administration.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to effectively convey complex details or technical information.
  • Highly familiar with etiquette, protocol, and employing cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Matured and team player.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in management of operations for a Financial Institution preferred.

Note: Those with experience in the SACCO industry will have an added advantage.
