Agricultural Trading Company Limited (ATC), a subsidiary company of AHL Group PIc, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant posts:

BRANCH SUPERVISOR

Position Function
Reporting to the Regional Sales Officer, the overall function of the Branch Supervisor is to manage staff, coordinate sales and oversee shop operations.

Main Duties and responsibilities: 

  1. Coordinating sales and ensure that sales targets are met timely.
  2. Supervising staff at the depot, i.e. organizing and distributing staff schedules.
  3. Ensuring proper merchandising of products and correct pricing of products.
  4. Conducting staff performance appraisals for the branch staff.
  5. Identifying current and future trends that appeal to customers.
  6. Maintaining an up-to-date stock inventory and ensuring availability of stock all the time.
  7. Utilizing information technology to record sales figures for data analysis and forwarding for planning purposes.
  8. Conducting periodic stock taking and spot checks.
  9. Preparation of daily sales summary and ensuring timely banking of cash.
  10. Maintaining depot’s cleanliness and ensuring health and safety measures are adhered to.
  11. Ensuring standards or quality of customer service and health and safety are met.
  12. Handling customers’ queries, complaints and keeping customer database which would assist in getting stock orders.
  13. Any other related duties assigned by the Supervisors from time to time.

Qualifications/Experience/Personal Specifications 

  1. Diploma in Business Management / Marketing
  2. Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
  3. At least 3 years’ working experience
  4. Excellent computer skills
  5. Able to meet deadlines
  6. Team player
