Invitation to Tender – Provision of Customs Clearing Services

German Development Cooperation has been operating in Malawi since 1965. GIZ is the Government Agency implementing technical cooperation with the government of Malawi on behalf of the German Federal Government.

GIZ has maintained an office in Lilongwe since 1998. It’s workforce in Malawi includes seconded and local staff, development workers and CIM experts. Malawian-German cooperation currently focuses on three priority areas: education, health and development of the private sector in rural areas. GIZ is also working on behalf of BMZ in the areas of public finance administration and social security. GIZ Malawi has the Country office and several individual programme offices in different locations.

GIZ Malawi intends to engage a service provider for the provision of Customs Clearing Services as a corporate rates agreement for a period of one year, with an option to extend for a further one year. GIZ therefore invites interested service providers to submit their proposals, which should include but not limited to:

1. Company Profile
2. Business Registration certificates and Registration with local regulatory bodies
3. Annual Turnover in the past 3 years
4. Similar service packages provided in past 3 years with references.

Detailed information on deliverables and formal as well as technical criteria for choosing the best offers are laid out in tender documents. The Bidding Documents (Technical and Financial proposal) should be submitted to GIZ by Monday, 29th July 2024 16:30Hrs. (further instructions in the tender documents).

Failure to comply with any of the tender rules shall also lead to disqualification.
