INVITATION TO BID FOR THE SITING, INSTALLATION AND EQUIPPING OF RAIN WATER HARVESTING TANKS IN SELECTED SCHOOLS IN LILONGWE DISTRICT

Canadian Physicians for Aid &Relief (CPAR) is an international non-governmental organization working in partnership with health professionals, vulnerable communities and governments
to build health systems capacity in Sub-Saharan Africa. CPAR aspires to build stronger health systems in Sub-Saharan Africa. CAR supports community efforts to address the key determinants of health through improved access to primary health care, adequate and nutritious food, clean water, improved hygiene and sanitation, and the creation of secure livelihoods. All CPAR projects are developed and implemented with a focus on the issues of protection against Sexual exploitation (PSEA), gender equality, and conservation and respect for the natural environment.
CPAR currently has field offices and programming in Ethiopia, Malawi, and Tanzania. In Malawi CAR has presence in Nkhatabay, Lilongwe, Balaka, Machinga, Mangochi, and Blantyre, Neno, Chikhwawa and Nsanje districts
CPAR has received funds from Unifor Social Justice Fund, Peter Giligan Foundation and BWD, of Canada and is implementing a project titled Green Schools Network in Lilongwe district.
Therefore, CPAR desires to site, install and equip rain-water harvesting tanks in selected schools in Traditional Authority Kabudula.
1. Objective
Now that CAR desires to outsource the siting, installation and equipping of Rain Water Harvesting Tanks in the aforementioned district as specified in Lots 1 with technical standards defined in the instructions to bidders, therefore invites eligible firms/ contractors to submit their bids for the intended works:

2. Eligibility
Here are requirements for eligibility that firms/ contractors must meet and they must be submitted in the same order as presented here;
- 2.1 Brief business profile with clearly articulated background of the business, strictly no more than two pages, with business registration certificate as well as the National Construction Council registration certificate attached.
- 2.2 Submit a list of Key staff and their qualifications and years of experience, include and state the number of staff you are going to assign for this contract.
- 2.3 Submit three referees from the past four years, whom you have done similar works before.
- 2.4 State duration for delivering the contract from signing of the contract to when you expect the contract to be 100% completed (passed on to user for use on turn-key basis). May present in table format as a works schedule.
- 2.5 Submit a list of the equipment that you expect to assign to this contract, include photos, proof of ownership and site where they being stored if any.

For more information, or to buy a hardcopy of the instructions to bidders’ document at the above physical address, during working hrs 08:00 am through 04:30 pm.
The deadline for the submission is 16:30 hours Malawi time on 30th October 2024. Late submissions will not be entertained.
CPAR is not bound to accept the lowest or any other tender. All received bids will be evaluated in accordance with CAR’s procurement policy and guidelines as well as the requirements set forth in this invitation to tender. The bids shall be evaluated based on compliance with instructions to tender contained in the tender documents, technical specifications, delivery period, and price.
