INVITATION TO BID FOR CAPACITY BUILDING NEEDS ASSESSMENT
Background
World Vision (WV) is a global Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. World Vision started its operations in Malawi in 1982 and has over the years worked in a number of communities with an overall aim of improving the well-being of children through development program approach.
WV Malawi is seeking services of consultants that will undertake Capacity building needs assessment for Civil Society Organizations’ (CSOs) within Malawi.
Application
Interested consultants are requested to detail the following:
- Technical Proposal: A detailed description of the approach and methodology the consultant will use to conduct the capacity needs assessment.
- Financial Proposal: A breakdown of the consultancy fees and any other associated costs.
- Finance Capacity: Proven financial standing, including evidence of the consultant’s ability to manage and account for funds effectively – financial statements.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Highlighting relevant qualifications and experience.
- References: At least three references from similar recent assignments previously undertaken.
Eligibility / Qualification of Consultants
The consultant should possess the following qualifications:
- A postgraduate Degree in Social Sciences, International development, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in conducting capacity assessments, especially with CSOs.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing capacity-building programs for CSOs.
- Proven experience in organizational development, change management and structural and systems design.
- Excellent communication, data collection, and analytical skills.
- Previous experience in working in health-related programs such as Malaria TB, HIV/AIDS and Malaria.
Additionally, the Consultant must have personnel with expertise in M&E, Finance and Human Resource as these will be areas of focus during the capacity needs assessment process.

The above-mentioned documents (Technical Proposal) will be sent through a sourcing event from
COUPA- World Vision International online procurement system within 24hrs upon receipt of an email of expression of interest from the interested bidder. Expressions of interest should not be sent later than 25th November 2024.
Proposal Submission Details
Submission of tenders should be on or before Friday, the 29th of November 2024 at 16:00hrs.
Bids must be sent through COUPA- World Vision International online procurement system named (subject): “CAPACITY BUILDING NEEDS ASSESSMENT CSOs FY25/01”
