1. The Nkhotakota District Council is implementing the Nkhotakota Basic Services Programme (KKBSP) from 2023 to 2027 with support from the Embassy of Iceland in Lilongwe. The development goal is improved livelihoods and resilience in rural communities by enhanced provision and use of inclusive and sustainable basic social services in Nkhotakota district. Most of the efforts are focused on building new and renovating public structures and institutions in the area of education, health and water services with emphasis on quality and climate resilient infrastructure. The support to the education and Health sector of the Nkhotakota District Council is part of this programme.
2. The Chairperson, Internal Procurement & Disposal of Assets Committee, Nkhotakota District Council now invites sealed bids from prospective bidders in Building Works for the Construction Works as specified below:

3. Bidding will be conducted through Open Tendering procedures under National Competitive Bidding (NCB) specified in the Malawi Public Procurement and Disposal of Asset Act 2017 and Regulations of the Government of the Republic of Malawi and are open to all bidders.
4. Interested bidders may obtain further information from the Nkhotakota District Council and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given at paragraph 7a below from 08.00 to 12.00; 13.00 to 16.00 hours’ local time (Monday to Friday) except national public holidays.
5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders at the address below at paragraph 7 (b) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK30,000.00. Payment for the documents will be made at the Cash Office, on the address below at clause 7(b). The method of payment will be cash or bank certified cheque.
6. Bids must be deposited in the Tender Box, at the address below at 7(c) on or before Tuesday, 21 January 2025, 10:00 Am local time. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) on 21 January 2025, soon after 10.00 Am, local time. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration Form.
