INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) TENDER FOR SUPPLY OF LIKUNI PHALA
PROCUREMENT REFERENCE NUMBER: CATECHISM/ NUT/2024/1
The Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu through its Pastoral arm, Catechism Project, has received funding from Coppel Family to implement the Nutrition Project in Parishes of the Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu.
The overall objective of the project is improved nutrition status and learning environment for the Sunday school children in the Diocese. One of the activities in this project is provision of Nutrition Supplements (Likuni Phala).
The Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu, therefore, invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply of Likuni Phala as follows:

Interested applicants must include the following in their applications:
- Full contact details (name, postal & physical address, phone numbers and e-mail addresses), on Company Letterhead and signed by an authorized official.
- Company registration Certificate and Certificate of Registration for VAT
- Cost which includes all applicable taxes.
Criteria for selection include the following:
- Availability
- Terms of Payment
- Delivery time
- Price
Evaluation of Bid Documents will be conducted by the Mzuzu Diocesan Procurement Committee according to specified procedures in the organization’s procurement policy. It will be a closed tender opening. No supplier will be invited.
The bid opening will be done on the following day of closure of receiving tender documents (12:30 PM, Monday, 26th August, 2024). Late bids shall be rejected without any discussions.
Mode of payment to the awarded supplier is strictly by cheque written in the name of the company not an individual.

preferably hand delivered into an Expression of Interest Box placed at the Main Gate of Mzuzu Diocesan Offices “Jobidon’s House”. Please indicate on the envelope the subject matter: PROCUREMENT REFERENCE NUMBER: CATECHISM/NUT /2024/1
To be received not later than Monday, 26th August 2024 at 12:30pm local time.
Please note:
The issuance of this invitation does not constitute an award commitment on the part of Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu, nor does it commit the Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu to pay for the costs incurred in the preparation and submission of a quotation.
The prices shall be quoted in Malawi Kwacha. The amount of the bid cannot be changed following variations in the exchange rate. The choice of the exchange rate is up to the bidder, who assumes the risks and profits from the advantages related to the currencies exchange rates fluctuations.
The applicants must comply with the requirements above. Non-compliant applications may be disqualified.
