INVITATION FOR BIDS
SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MOTOR VEHICLES

1. The Government of the Republic of Malawi has received financing from the African Development Fund toward the cost of the Rumphi Water and Sanitation Services Improvement Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan be applied to eligible payments under the contract for supply and delivery of motor vehicles.
2. The Northern Region Water Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply and delivery of motor vehicles:

3. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures and is open to all eligible bidders.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at: Northern Region Water Board, Private Bag 94, Mzuzu, Malawi Attention: Procurement Unit Tel : (265) 1 310 254 /255 or email ipdc@nrwb.org.mw.
5. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be obtained from the office at the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MWK 5,000 or USD 5 or equivalent in a convertible currency.
The method of payment shall be cash or Bank certified cheque tendered at the Northern Region Water Board cash office. The Bidding Documents will be collected by the prospective bidders themselves.
6. Bids must be accompanied by a security of MWK 3,000,000.00 for Lot 1, MWK 8,000,000.00 for Lot 2 and MWK 2,500,000.00 for Lot 3. Alternatively, Domestic Bidders may provide a Bid Securing Declaration Form using the form included in the Bidding Document.
7. Sealed Bids clearly marked with Procurement number should be deposited into the Northern Region Water Board Tender Box, Kawiluwilu House, Private Bag 94, Mzuzu, Malawi on or before 24th June 2024 at 14.00 hrs CAT (ATTENTION IPDC CHAIRPERSON). The bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend.
8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 14:00 hours on 24th June 2024.
