INVITATION FOR BIDS
PROPOSED CONVERSION OF A WAREHOUSE TO AN AGRICULTURAL MECHANISATION UNIT AND ASSOCIATED EXTERNAL WORKS

1. Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) has secured funding from the Government of Malawi under Public Sector Investments Project (PSIP) and intends to use the funds as follows:

2. MUBAS now invites sealed bids from eligible Contractors in the NCIC MK1 Billion Building Works Category.
3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with open tender procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act No. 27, 2017 and its subsidiary legislation and is open to all eligible bidders.
4. Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect bidding documents at the following address during working days from 8.00am to 4.00pm: The Secretary, Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee, MUBAS, Private Bag 303, Chichiri, Blantyre 3, Phone: 01 870 411.
5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased from the MUBAS Cashier’s office in the Finance Department upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK10, 000.00. Bidders should then collect their copies of bidding documents from the Procurement and Disposal Department after presenting a receipt as proof for payment.

6. A Mandatory Pre-bid Meeting and a Mandatory Site Visit shall be conducted on 5th June 2024 in the MUBAS Main boardroom at the MUBAS Main Campus from 10.00 am.
7. Sealed bids clearly marked “Proposed Conversion of a Warehouse to an Agricultural Mechanisation Unit” must be deposited in the tender box at the MUBAS Porters Lodge to the address below. This should be before or at 10 am Malawian time on 21st June 2024 and this shall also mark the opening time for bids where bidders or their appointed representatives shall be free to attend. Late bids shall be rejected.
