FOR PROCUREMENT OF 2024/2025 SEED, LIVESTOCK AND AUXILIARY SERVICES UNDER AFFORDABLE INPUTS PROGRAMME (AIP)
DATE OF ISSUE OF BIDDING DOCUMENT: 3rd JULY, 2024

1. The Government of Malawi (GoM) acting through the Ministry of Agriculture has budgeted resources for procurement of Seeds, Livestock (female goats), and Auxiliary Services under the Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP). The Ministry intends to apply part of the funds for payment of contracts for the above stated procurements.

2. Government of Malawi, through the Ministry of Agriculture, now invites sealed bids for each of the procurements from:

  1. Eligible companies that produce certified seed and are registered with Seed Services Unit (SSU) as seed producers, to supply and retail seed to AIP beneficiaries in retailing areas of all districts of Malawi.
  2. Eligible companies, cooperatives that are registered with Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA) and Ministry of Trade, to supply and deliver goats (Does) to AlP beneficiaries in selected EPAs of Mwanza and Balaka.
  3. Suitably qualified service providers for the provision of Auxiliary services under AIP, with ICT related experience in handling and managing data as specified in the bid document.

3. Details of the assignment will be obtained from a complete set of Bidding Document which shall be in English, and purchased to interested bidders at non-refundable fee of Ten thousand Kwacha (MK10, 000.00) cash.

4. National Competitive Bidding (NCB) will be conducted in accordance with the National Procurement Laws.

5. Completed bids, accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration must be deposited in the Tender Box, placed at Procurement Unit, Room 76, first floor at or before 06th August 2024 at 10:00 hours, and addressed to:

6. Bids shall remain valid for 120 days after the deadline for bid submission.

8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or bidders’ representatives who may choose to attend the opening on 6th August, 2024, at 10:00 am at Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters, Capital Hill, 1st Floor, Conference Room.
