CONSTRUCTION OF SALIMA DISTRICT COUNCIL OFFICE COMPLEX IN SALIMA DISTRICT, MALAWI REFERENCE PROCUREMENT NUMBER: SADC/MoLGU&C/SALIMA OFFICE COMPLEX/2024-25/001
1. The Ministry of Local Government, Unity and Culture has set aside funds which it intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for the construction of Office Complex at Salima District Council Malawi.
2. The Chairperson of the Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee, Salima District Council, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Malawi invites sealed bids from eligible bidders who are currently registered, or in case of Foreign Bidders, are eligible for registration with the National Construction Industry Council of Malawi in the unlimited category. In addition, the successful Bidder shall meet the minimum qualification criteria set out in the Bidding Documents.
3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Law and Regulations of Malawi and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries. A Bidder shall be required to obtain a certificate of registration from the National Construction Industry Council demonstrating registered supplier status, as a condition of contract award.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect bidding documents at the Offices of Salima District Council, Procurement Unit, Private Bag 15, Salima, Malawi from 8.00 am to 4.30pm on working days
5. Bidding documents (and additional copies) may be purchased from 30th October 2024 at the Offices of Salima District Council, The IPDC Chairman, Private Bag 15, Salima, Malawi for a non-refundable fee of MK50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Kwacha) for each document by a bank certified cheque or cash.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below 6(a) at or before 3.00pm (local time) 29th November, 2024. All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of amount equal to One Percent (1%) of the total bid price in the currency of the bid. Late Bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below (6b) at 2.00pm (local time) 29th November 2024

7. Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after Bid opening.
8. The Employers do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any bid but reserve the right to exercise choice in accordance with what they consider to be in their best interest.
