INVITATION FOR BIDS
NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB)-CONSTRUCTION OF ILOMBA BOARDER POLICE POST
REFERENCE NUMBER MPS/IPDC/01/2024/ILOMBA
DATE OF ISSUE: 11/10/2024
1. Malawi Police Service (MPS) intends to engage contractors to construct Ilomba Boarder Police Post in Chitipa District.
2. Bidding shall be conducted in accordance with Open Tendering procedures as contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets (PPDA) Act 2017 and Public Procurement Regulations of 2020.
3. Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given in paragraph (4) below between 08:00 to 12:00 Hours and 13:30 to 16:30 Hours from Monday to Friday.
4. A complete set of bidding document prepared in English language may be obtained by interested bidders upon cash payment of MK15,000.00 per tender document which is nonrefundable. Payment shall be made at National Police Headquarters Cashier’s office and the method of payment shall be in form of cash. Bidding documents will be collected from Procurement and Disposal Unit, National Police Headquarters P/Bag 305, Lilongwe 3, upon production of a valid receipt.
5. Mandatory Pre-bid and site visit meeting shall be held on 17th October,2024 from 1400hrs at the proposed site Ilomba Boarder Police Post-Chitipa
6. Bidders and/or their representatives and members of the general public, may attend the opening of the bids on 11th November 2024 at 1400hrs, local time at National Police Headquarters, Senior Officer’s Mess in Lilongwe.
7. The Malawi Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid, but reserves the right to exercise choice of the lowest evaluated substantially responsive bid in accordance with what it considers to be in its best interest.
8. Late submissions will be rejected and returned unopened. Electronic Bidding is not allowed. Sealed envelopes marked with Procurement reference number indicated above should be deposited in the Tender Box placed at National Police Headquarters
