ADMARC LIMITED

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO DO MAIZE FLOUR TOLL MILLING FOR ADMARC

ADMARC Limited is a state-owned enterprise whose mandate is that of contributing to the socio-economic development of the country through marketing of agricultural commodities, products and services, value addition to agricultural produce for both local and export markets, implementing government agricultural policies such as food security and price stabilisation and agricultural production, among others.

Currently, as part of its turnaround strategy, ADMARC is concentrating on 3 focus areas namely: agricultural production, agricultural commodity trading and value addition.

Among other things on value addition, ADMARC Limited plans to start flour milling for sale in all its markets and other strategic outlets throughout the country. This will bring convenience and good affordability to the consumers who, otherwise, come to ADMARC and buy maize and take the same to maize mills for milling. It is not convenient and efficient especially for customers buying small quantities. ADMARC is in the process of procuring its milling machinery for the purpose. However, the company would like to go into processing immediately through toll milling with other maize flour processors since procurement and installation processes may take some time.

ADMARC Limited requires maize flour toll milling services from renowned millers, one for each region: South, Center, and North. ADMARC will have a one-year framework arrangement awaiting the purchase, installation, and operation of its own milling plant.

It is in this light that ADMARC is calling for Expressions of Interest from maize flour processors to do toll milling for ADMARC. The toll milling may be done by one processor or more processors depending on capacity and geographical location of the processor’s milling plant.
