CALL FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS

Introduction

The Malawi Tourism Council (MTC) is the official body representing and advocating for private operators in Malawi’s esteemed tourism sector. Established in 2012 as a non-profit Trust under the Trustees Incorporation Act, MTC plays a vital role in championing the interests of the Tourism Private Sector. Its primary objectives include providing strategic guidance and leadership on key industry issues and opportunities, Additionally, MTC is actively involved in advocacy and lobbying efforts with the government and other relevant institutions to influence policy changes and promote the growth of private operators within the tourism sector. To enhance its operations, better serve its members and stakeholders, and contribute more effectively to the development of Malaw’s tourism sector, MTC is embarking on a development and rebranding process.

Objectives of the Assignments

The main objectives of the assignments are:

  1. To support the Council in developing and establishing management and operational systems and structures within the Secretariat.
  2. To enhance implementation of its strategic and governance objectives.

Prospective applicants should have relevant experience, technical capacity, and should express commitment to advance the objectives and goals of the Malawi Tourism Council.

Reporting
Successful Applicants will be reporting to the Executive director of the Malawi Tourism Council.

Reporting requirements and communication protocols will be as outlined in the bid and it will be part of the contractual obligation. Regular coordination meetings and timely submission of deliverables will be essential for the successful execution of the project.
