CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
DEVELOPMENT OF FUM’S SAFEGUARDING POLICY OF VULNERABLE PERSONS AND YOUTHS

1. Background
Farmers Union of Malawi (FUM) has collaborated with AGRA to implement a 3 year project called Generating Incomes for Young Agripreneurs and Farmers for Inclusive Food Systems Transformation in Malawi (GIYA) Project.
The GIYA project is part of the AGRA’S YEFFA programme that aims at increasing youth and young women’s involvement in agricultural transformation process by catalyze an inclusive agri-food system transformation in Malawi through a competitive agro-processing industry that drives farmer productivity, resilience, and dignified work opportunities particularly for youth and vulnerable people.

2. Scope of Work
In line with AGRA’s commitment towards ensuring secure and welcoming environment where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can flourish and feel safe, FUM would like to engage services of a qualified and experienced consultant to develop its Safeguarding Policy for Youths and Vulnerable Groups to enhance its commitment to the protection and safeguarding of Children, Youths, and Vulnerable persons.

The main objective of this assignment is to review and assess the current FUM’s Gender Equality and HIV&AIDS Policy and Policy Against Sexual Harassment and Abuse and develop a comprehensive policy on Safeguarding of Vulnerable Persons and Youths with a clear implementation strategy.

3. Call for Expressions of Interest
FUM is, therefore, inviting applications from qualified individual consultants to carry out this assignment.
