NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING

PROCUREMENT OF MAINTENANCE SERVICE AND REPAIR OF PIMA CD4 ANALYZER

The Government of Malawi with support from the Global Fund is implementing procurement of maintenance service of PIMA CD4 Analyzers deployed across health facilities nationwide. These machines are vital for monitoring HIV treatment by providing quantitative CD4 testing which is critical for assessing the immune status of HIV-positive individuals. While the WHO and Malawi’s 2022 Care and Treatment Guidelines recommend universal antiretroviral therapy (ART), baseline CD4 testing remains essential for identifying advanced HIV patients who require prophylaxis against opportunistic infections.

  1. Bids will be evaluated through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Malawi Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets (PPDA) Act 2017 and its associated Regulations of the Republic of Malawi.
  2. A complete set of the Bidding documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders at a non-refundable fee of MK10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Kwacha only). The method of payment will be cash. The bidding documents can be purchased at the address below from Friday 20th December 2024, between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

  3. Bids must be physically delivered by depositing the package in the Tender Box located at the entrance of the EPI Building no later than 20th January 2025, 14:00 hours Malawi local time. Electronic submission will not be accepted. Late submissions will be rejected.
