Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Institute (MQoPCI), formerly known as the Beehive Centre for Social Enterprise, is a Catholic educational institute located at the foot of Michiru Mountain in Chilomoni, Blantyre. We offer education ranging from Early Childhood Development to Tertiary Education.

We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Early Childhood Development Trainer to work at the Institution’s College, St. John Paul II Catholic College

Job Purpose
The Early Childhood Development Trainer is responsible for delivering training to students and corporate clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will carry out the following duties:

  • Assessing Early Childhood Development Programs
  •  Conducting classes based on the given curriculum
  • Scheduling and Administering Assessments Maintaining proper records of training delivery and assessments
  • Support Marketing and Outreach: Evaluate the effectiveness and quality of early childhood development training courses.
  • Review Course Content and Delivery: Regularly update and refine course materials and teaching methods to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Facilitate classes and workshops based on the provided curriculum to support the professional development of early childhood educators.

Knowledge and Skills Requirement

  • Ability to clearly and effectively convey information and engage with various stakeholders.
  •  Skills in identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
  •  Proficiency in analysing information and making informed decisions based on evidence.
  • Competence in using computer applications and relevant technology.
  • Commitment to maintaining privacy and handling sensitive information discreetly.
  • Dedication to maintaining high standards of professionalism and reliability in all tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from a recognized university by NCHE
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  •  Proven experience of at least 3 years as an Early Childhood Development Trainer
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
