CHEF

Key Responsibilities:

• As our Chef, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and preparing nutritious and appealing meals for students and staff.
• Creating menus that balance variety, health, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensuring all food is prepared and served in accordance with health, safety, and hygiene standards. Managing kitchen inventory and placing orders to maintain sufficient supplies.
• Managing portion control and minimizing food waste.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas, etc.

Qualifications and Attributes:

We are looking for a candidate who:

• A born again Christian
• Holds a Certificate in Food and Beverage, Hospitality Operations, or any related field.
• A Diploma in Hospitality or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
• Has at least 1 year of experience working as a kitchen porter in a professional kitchen.
• Is reliable, hardworking, and motivated to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the demands of the role.
• Possesses physical stamina for standing for long periods and handling kitchen equipment.
• Demonstrates a team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
• Shares our Christian values and is respectful of the mission and ethos of God’s Grace Academy. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not required, as training will be provided.
