FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Job Description
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications network equipment including routers, switches, fiber optics, and wireless devices.
- Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs for both residential and commercial network systems.
- Provide technical support to customers by identifying issues and resolving them efficiently.
- Conduct system upgrades and equipment replacements as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and industry regulations during installations and service calls.
- Document all service activities, including network configurations, repairs, and customer communications.
- Collaborate with the technical team and network engineers to ensure network uptime and service quality.
- Work with customers to schedule site visits and provide updates on service status.
- Maintain inventory of tools and parts, ensuring that all equipment is available for job completion.
- Provide training and guidance to customers on system use and basic troubleshooting.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree/Diploma (Electrical & Electronics, IT or related fields )
- Proven experience as network technician or relevant position
- Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
- Ability to innovate and deliver value to business
- Personal Integrity and good interpersonal relationship

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- At least 3-4 years working experience with in Telecoms.
