Our client, a leading telecommunication Service provider is seeking energetic, aggressive, and self-motivated and result oriented individuals to join its team in the position mentioned below to work under its Networks Department:

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Description

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications network equipment including routers, switches, fiber optics, and wireless devices.
  • Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs for both residential and commercial network systems.
  • Provide technical support to customers by identifying issues and resolving them efficiently.
  • Conduct system upgrades and equipment replacements as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and industry regulations during installations and service calls.
  • Document all service activities, including network configurations, repairs, and customer communications.
  • Collaborate with the technical team and network engineers to ensure network uptime and service quality.
  • Work with customers to schedule site visits and provide updates on service status.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and parts, ensuring that all equipment is available for job completion.
  • Provide training and guidance to customers on system use and basic troubleshooting.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree/Diploma (Electrical & Electronics, IT or related fields )
  • Proven experience as network technician or relevant position
  • Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
  • Ability to innovate and deliver value to business

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3-4 years working experience with in Telecoms.
