VACANCY: WATER QUALITY ASSISTANT (GRADE M)
Application are invited from suitably qualified Malawian who are willing to serve in the Civil Service, Ministry of Water and Sanitation to fill the post of Water Quality Assistant (Grade M)
Post: Water Quality Assistant (Grade M)
Location: Ministry of Water and Sanitation (Headquarters)
Salary: Within the Grade M salary scale segment
Qualification
Applicants should be in possession of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with three (3) credits in either Biology, Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics.
Duties
- Under taking sampling exercise for water and waste water and other sample in accordance with planned programs
- Data capturing both in the field and laboratory including maintenance of records for sampling Cleaning of Laboratory, glassware and equipment
- Carrying out physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of water and waste water sample both in field and laboratory
- Preparing sample bottle, including washing, additional appropriate preservatives and correcting labelling (sterilization) if necessary safety storage of all laboratory equipment, glassware chemical, including stock control of laboratory chemical and media.
