VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Workforce Recruitment Services (WRS) registered under the Laws of Malawi with registration number 132618 of P.O. Box 31296, Chichiri, Blantyre 3, is a recruitment, Outsourcing and Cleaning Services Agency. We are inviting applications for the following position on behalf of our Client.

  1. Finance Manager

 Key Purpose Statement

To lead the Finance Team in tax reporting, reconciling balance sheets, helping with departmental and organizational budgets, financial forecasting, communicating findings with Management and Stakeholders in the most efficient and effective manner

Key Outputs and Accountabilities 

  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Secure financial information by completing database backups.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
  • Provide technical support and advice on management.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process.
  • Provide input into department’s goal-setting process.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Plan, assign, and review staff’s work.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
  • Awareness of business trends.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Excellent accounting software user.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent and studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
  • Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching as it relates to accounting issues.
  1. Garden Boy

Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ experiencein landscaping
  1. Chef

Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent  Certificate in Hospitality.
  • 2-3 years’ working experience in a reputable organization.
  • Those with a Diploma in Hospitality will have an added advantage.
  1. Sales & Marketing Assistant

Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent
  • Certificate in Sales/marketing
  • 2-3 years’ working experience in a reputable organization.
  1. Security Guards

 Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ working experience as a Security Guard in a reputable organization.
  • Must have a clean security record.
  1. Cooks

Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent  Certificate in Hospitality.  2-3 years’ working experience as a Cook in a reputable organization.
  1. Office Assistant 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent.
  • Certificate in Business Management/Administration.
  • 2-3 years’ working experience as an Office Assistant in a reputable organization.
  1. Housekeeper

Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent.
  • 2-3 years’ working experience as a Housekeeper in a reputable organization.
  1. Truck Drivers

Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in driving heavy goods vehicles (articulated vehicles).
  • Class CE (category GD) driving licence a must.
  • Good spoken English language.
  1. Laboratory Technician

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent.
  2. Diploma in industry laboratory or its equivalent.
  3. 3-5 years’ working experience in a busy production environment.

11. Human Resources Officer–  Lilongwe based

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management obtained from an accredited institution or its equivalent.
  • 2-3 years’ working experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of the Malawi labour Laws.
