MASM Medi Clinics Ltd is a leading healthcare service provider in Malawi with medical clinics in Blantyre, Lilongwe, Zomba, and Mzuzu. The Clinics serve medically insured members from MASM, other health care insurers as well as those paying out of pocket. In an effort to strengthen its technical capacity, the Company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following vacant position:

ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICER (1)

Job Summary

Managing all the affairs of the procurement office and ensuring timely acquisition and delivery of quality pharmaceutical and non-medical products at lowest possible cost.

Reporting to: Accountant

Location: Head Office in Lilongwe

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Ensure timely acquisition and delivery of quality pharmaceutical and non-medical products at lowest possible cost
2. Ensure that clinics submit requisitions on time
3. Ensure proper processing of purchase orders through:
4. Verification of quantification of orders
5. Verification that orders are within the approved budget
6. Participate in the selection of suppliers from pre-qualified lists
7. Conduct comparative analysis on supplier prices
8. Participate in review and evaluation of performance of the suppliers
9. Coordinate dispatch supplies to Clinics

Educational Qualifications Experience and Attributes

Professional or Advanced Diploma in Procurement or Supply Chain Management and Membership to Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply. Experience in a medical supply sourcing environment will be an added advantage.
