We continue to change the lives of over 2.4 million children who today will receive a Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals Malawi is our largest school feeding programme, and we work closely with schools and community volunteers who help prepare and serve the nutritious meals every school day.

Marys Meals Malawi is looking to recruit energetic and motivated individuals for the positions of:

PROGRAMME DELIVERY MANAGER (Permanent Post based in Mzuzu)

Job purpose

This role will provide strong technical oversight and leadership for the Programme Delivery function across Mary’s Meals school feeding programme in line with our School Feeding Delivery Model (SFDM).  The programme Delivery Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of the school feeding programme. You will contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency activities across our programme delivery, and support alignment to our MM School Feeding Approach (SFA), helping to ensure quality, stewardship and simplicity across our programme.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to Mary’s Meals vision, mission and values
  • At least a first Degree in Development studies, Public Health, Nutrition, Community Development, Community Nursing, Education or any of the social sciences. Post graduate Degree will be added advantage.
  • At least five (5) years project/programme experience two of which should be at a management and team leadership level in an NGO environment with responsibility for managing staff, activities, financial resources, assets and external relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to focus on and prioritize key tasks and effectively drive forward and implement agreed actions
  • Very good computer literacy with high proficiency in Excel and relevant data processing computer applications.
  • Well-developed, interpersonal skills, with the ability to network widely, persuade and influence others
  • Highly resilient, self-reliant and motivated, with the ability to organise own work and prioritise tasks
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in different countries and settings.
  • Has a warm, engaging and inspiring personality, with good networking and interpersonal skills
  • Team management experience, including engaging and motivating a team of staff
  • Experience of monitoring and reporting against agreed strategy
  • Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER (Permanent Position Based in Blantyre)

Job purpose

Reporting to the Programme Quality Assurance Manager, this role is vital to ensuring that our School Feeding Programme is working towards programme excellence. The role holder will be an active member of the Programme Quality Assurance team and be responsible for reviewing data that the Delivery team provides, ensuring it is robust, verified and that data gaps are addressed. The role holder will be responsible for identifying data trends and issues within our School Feeding Programme (SFP).

Requirements

  • Degree in M&E related field in the social or health sciences from a recognisable institution
  • At least 2 years prior work experience in Monitoring and Evaluation and/or Quality Assurance
  • Strong commitment to Mary’s Meals vision, mission, and values
  • Excellent written and oral English skills, fluency in one or more local languages.
  • Robust quantitative data collection, analysis, and interpretation skills.
  • Proven IT skills, including Microsoft Office, including Excel,
  • Good attention to detail
  • High analytic skills
  • High integrity
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Those with knowledge and experience in using Salesforce CRM Analytics and Resco Mobile CRM will have an added advantage.
  • Ability to approach the role in line with Mary’s Meals Aspiration into Action (Service, Simplicity, Stewardship)
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and provide training on M&E and data management.
  • A valid motor vehicle driving licence is a must
