TENDER FOR BOREHOLE DRILLING
PROCUREMENT REFERENCE NUMBER: MDCHC/CCO/FY25

The Diocese of Mzuzu through its Health arm, Health Department (MDCHD) has received funding from CROSS CATHOLIC OUTREACH (CCO) to drill ten (10) boreholes under Paramount Chief M’mbelwa and Traditional Authority Mzukuzuku in Mzimba District.

The overall objective of the project is to drill ten (10) boreholes for the provision of safe drinking water in support of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Project.

Mzuzu Diocese Catholic Health Department, therefore, invites bids from eligible bidders to drill ten boreholes in the said areas as follows:

Interested applicants must include the following in their applications:

  • Full contact details (name, postal & physical address, phone numbers and e-mail addresses), on Company Letterhead and signed by an authorized official.
  • Company registration Certificate and Certificate of Registration for VAT
  • Cost which includes all applicable taxes.

Criteria for selection include the following:

  • Availability
  • Terms of Payment
  • Delivery time
  • Price

Evaluation of bid documents will be conducted by the Diocesan Procurement Committee according to specified procedures in the organization’s procurement policy. It will be a closed tender evaluation. No supplier will be invited.

The bid evaluation will be done on the same day of closure of receiving Tender Documents (8:30 am, Wednesday 7th August, 2024). Late bids shall be rejected.

Mode of payment to the awarded supplier is strictly by cheque written in the name of the company or by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) as per donor requirement.

PROCUREMENT REFERENCE NUMBER: MDCHC/CCO/FY25 to be received not later than Wednesday, 7th August, 2024 at 8:30 am local time.

Please note:

The issuance of this invitation does not constitute an award commitment on the part of MDCHC, nor does it commit MDCHC to pay for the costs incurred in the preparation and submission of a quotation.

The prices shall be quoted in Malawi Kwacha. The amount of the bid cannot be changed following variations in the exchange rate. The choice of the exchange rate is up to the bidder, who assumes the risks and profits from the advantages related to the currencies exchange rates fluctuations.

The applicants must comply with the requirements above. Non-compliant applications may be disqualified.
