This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in UNDB online.
1. The Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) hereinafter called the Bank towards the cost of the Support for Digitalization, Financial Inclusion and Competitiveness (DFIC) Project and it intends to apply part of the funds towards payments under the contract for the Automation of Financial Services Data Collection and Analysis: Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Servers and Computers.
2. The Chairperson, Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee, Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of the following:

The Bidder may quote for all the items or per lot.
3. Bidding will be conducted through Open Competitive Bidding (National) as specified in the “Bank’s Procurement Framework for Bank Group Funded Operations”, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document from the Project Coordinator, Support for Digitalization, Financial Inclusion and Competitiveness Project, Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs at the address given at paragraph 8 (a) below from 8:00 hours to 12:00 hours local time; and from 13:00 hours to 16:00 hours local time (Monday to Friday, except weekends and national public holidays). 5. A complete set of Bidding Document in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders at the address below at paragraph 8 (a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK10,000.00 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency at the address at paragraph 8 (b). The method of payment will be cash or bank certificate cheque.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8 (c) on or before 30th August, 2024, at 10:00 hours local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at paragraph 8 (d) on 30th August, 2024 at 10:00 hours local time.
7. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of MWK3,000,000.00 for Lot 1 and MWK300,000.00 for Lot 2 and 3 respectively. The Bid Security must be in the form of a Bank Certified Cheque or Bank Guarantee issued by a reputable bank
agreeable to the Purchaser.
